El Hormiguero's First Annual Convention
Summer is here and El Hormiguero is ready to kick some butt!
Recently, we held our first-ever El Hormiguero annual convention. The convention is a huge milestone for us, and we got a chance to go deep into how we’re organizing ourselves.
We spent time talking about how we’re making all of our decisions together, large and small. We’re dreaming big and we want every step we take to be towards building a more inclusive and collaborative organization.
We also want our work to be transformative, so we also dove into making adjustments to our Gender Justice Compromiso. We’re determined to bring a focused gender justice lens to all of our community organizing work, so this is a significant step for us to create a more sustainable and equitable organizing space.
